There are a nice range of GREEN salads, sandwiches and snack options, but the overall menu is dominated by AMBER and RED choices, particularly amongst hot meals. These commercial items are both less nutritious and less profitable for the tuckshop. Focus on offering a small range of meals that are popular with students- pizza, curry, burgers, pasta dishes. Some can be pre-prepared in bulk and frozen to improve efficiency on day of service. Remove all red items- chips, Pluto pups and homemade pastries. Serve crumbed chicken products with vegetables- snack pack with cherry tomatoes, carrot, etc or on a wrap.
