Central Queensland Tuckshops Visit – 10 – 13 August 2026

Run a school tuckshop and keen to squeeze some professional development in? Want to meet other convenors from around the Central Queensland region to see how they do things in their tuckshop or canteen?

We’re excited to share that the team from the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) will be visiting Central Queensland in Week 5, Term 3 2026.

This regional visit is a fantastic opportunity for tuckshop convenors, staff, volunteers, and school communities to connect, learn, and share ideas with others who understand the unique challenges and opportunities of running a successful school tuckshop.

During our visit, we’ll be delivering a range of professional development and networking opportunities, including:

These face-to-face events provide valuable opportunities to network with neighbouring schools, exchange practical tips and solutions, discuss common challenges, and celebrate the outstanding work taking place in Central Queensland tuckshops.
We will also have limited availability to conduct Tuckshop Tuneups for schools interested in a comprehensive review of their tuckshop operations, finances, menu, and processes.

Get involved

If you’re interested in attending one of these events, arranging a catch-up with the QAST team, or booking a Tuckshop Tuneup, we encourage you to complete our Regional Visit Expression of Interest form.
