Are you passionate about the powerful role tuckshops play in school communities? Here’s your chance to be part of something bigger: helping shape the future of QAST and the support we provide to tuckshops across Queensland.
QAST is powered by the people who share their time, experience and ideas. That’s why we’re inviting tuckshop convenors and school community members to nominate for the 2027 Management Committee and help guide the work we do next.
The Management Committee has the following positions available:
- 4 positions for tuckshop convenors
- 2 school community members
- 2 Health and Education members
- 2 parent body representatives.
Whether you’re working in a tuckshop or in your school community, we welcome nominations from anyone who wants to make an impact.

*Tuckshop convenors must be employed at a Queensland school that is a current member of QAST.
What’s the time commitment?
Not sure whether you can fit it in? The good news is that the commitment is manageable, even for busy tuckshop teams and school community members.
The Management Committee meets once every second month, generally on a Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm to 5.00pm. Meetings are held at the QAST office in Coorparoo, Brisbane, with the option to join online via Zoom if you can’t attend in person.
Between meetings, committee members may receive a small number of emails for information, feedback or input.
Committee members also attend the in-person, annual QAST strategic planning session, which will be held in late 2026.
The session offers:
- Orientation for new committee members
- Opportunities to provide input on the day-to-day running of QAST
- Networking and sharing of feedback and ideas
- Forward-planning for the year ahead.

Annual General Meeting 2026
QAST members are warmly invited to attend the Queensland Association of School Tuckshops (QAST) Annual General Meeting.
