Tuckshop Management Course
Are you a new convenor who wants to learn the ins and outs of managing a tuckshop or canteen? Or an established convenor keen to brush up on their management skills or learn how to make the tuckshop more efficient? Or perhaps you oversee the running of your tuckshop and want to gain a better understanding of how it should operate?
Our Tuckshop Management Course is for you!
QAST has developed the Tuckshop Management Course to give you the skills and confidence to run a successful and sustainable tuckshop.
The course will introduce you to a range of information, tools and templates that can be personalised to your tuckshop, to ensure its smooth running.
What will be covered?
This course includes five key modules:
- Goals, policies and managing stock
- Menu planning
- Financials – Costing, pricing and mark-up
- Organising your tuckshop/canteen
- Working with your community.
Of course, we can’t cover everything in one day but from our years of experience, we’ve determined the key topics to help you. The course will be especially useful for new convenors, but even established staff will pick up new ideas. You’ll also get the opportunity to share ideas and network with other convenors attending this course.
Is there any assessment?
There is no assessment to complete with this course, so that we can maximise time for learning and group discussion.
Following completion of the course, the QAST team are happy to providing ongoing support for members in implementing their learnings.
