Welcome to our new Executive Officer

The Queensland Association of School Tuckshops is pleased to announce that Keryn O’Neill will step up as our Executive Officer from Thursday, 5 December, 2024.

Keryn joined the QAST team earlier this year as our Senior Training Manager, after seven years teaching Health and Nutrition, plus Business Studies at The University of Queensland.

She is a qualified nutritionist and has a passion for healthy eating in a safe and sustainable environment.

Keryn has a long career in both the food and education industries and has worked as a tuckshop volunteer for 15 years. She’s also very interested in innovation in food and cooking in a healthy environment.

Keryn has a unique understanding of what our members need, and her passion for promoting healthy eating for children is an asset to the association.

She is looking forward to working with our members to build capacity in their school community and improve health outcomes for children, whilst securing QAST’s place as the industry’s peak body.

We look forward to beginning this new phase of QAST’s work under Keryn’s leadership.
