Basic Bolognaise Sauce

2KgLean beef mince
4eachCrushed tomatoes (410g tin)
1cupNo added salt tomato paste
1tbspBeef stock powder
Cracked pepper, optional
- Brown mince in a large saucepan that has been coated with cooking spray, drain well, remove to a plate.
- Using same saucepan mix tomato puree, tomato paste, garlic, onion, oregano, stock powder, water and pepper together.
- Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes covered.
- Add mince to pot and reheat for 5 minutes. Serve.

Serve with spaghetti or other pasta and a garden salad as a meal. Try adding kidney beans to make a chilli con carne style sauce and spice it up with just a light sprinkle of chilli powder, taco seasoning or paprika. This is also a good filling for jacket potatoes and jaffles.
