Ingredients

3wholecarrots, grated
3wholeapples, grated (see variations below)
12tablespoonssultanas
12tablespoonslight cream cheese
12wholemultigrain tortillas
Cinnamon

Method

  1. Spread a tablespoon of light cream cheese on each wrap.
  2. Sprinkle one tablespoon of sultanas on each wrap and lightly press into cream cheese.
  3. Place an even layer of carrot and apple on each tortilla.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Starting at one end, roll the tortilla as tightly as you can until the entire wrap is rolled.
  6. Cut tortilla in half for service.

Recipe description

A quick, fresh snack wrap that includes both a veggie AND a fruit! A winner for both tuckshops and OSHC menus.

Variations

  • If you served these wraps without the sultanas, they would be classified as GREEN per the Smart Choice criteria.
  • Grating the apple can make these wraps damp. Avoid this by squeezing the grated apple to remove excess moisture prior to adding it to the wrap OR thinly slice the apple instead of grating it.
