Single-Use Plastics Ban

Plastic waste and pollution is a growing issue faced world-wide through the use of many single-use plastic items. From the 1st September 2021 supply of the following single-use items will be banned in Queensland:-

  • single-use plastic straws
  • single-use plastic stirrers
  • single-use plastic plates and bowls
  • single-use plastic cutlery
  • single-use expanded polystyrene takeaway food containers and cups.
